Why Coaching Became My Calling (Part 2)
When I finally admitted to myself that I was done with the trades world, I didn’t know where to go next. I felt stuck, frustrated, and unsure of what the “right” next step was.
So my coach asked me a simple question: “What are three things you’d actually want to do?”
My answers surprised me — real estate, cars, and coaching.
Real estate didn’t fit the lifestyle I wanted. Cars were better as a hobby than a business. But coaching… coaching felt different.
It felt natural. It felt like me.
Even though my wife initially panicked, because she works for five coaches and thought it would be awkward, we quickly realised it wasn’t a problem. In fact, those coaches were supportive. And the more I thought about coaching, the more it made sense.
I’ve always been people‑focused. I connect easily. I enjoy conversation. I love helping people see things from a new angle. And I’ve lived the journey myself, the confusion, the searching, the personality discovery, the shift into something that finally feels aligned.
Life coaching isn’t about telling people what to do. It’s about listening. It’s about asking the right questions. It’s about helping someone hear their own thoughts clearly.
“As you talk through things, you actually start to voice out and hear what you’re saying… it creates another picture in your mind” *.
One of my clients recently started a new job and felt like they weren’t doing enough. But when we looked at the facts, five weeks in, two weeks of training, six contracts signed, everything shifted. They realised they were actually doing incredibly well. That’s the power of perspective.
And that’s what coaching is for me: Helping people see what they can’t see on their own. Helping them understand their strengths. Helping them stop feeling guilty for not being someone they’re not. Helping them move forward with clarity and confidence.
If you’re feeling stuck, frustrated, or unsure of who you are or where you’re going, I’d love to talk. Whether you’re exploring practical next steps or seeking God’s leading, I’m always open to genuine, no‑pressure conversation.
And if you want to go deeper, I talk more about this journey in my podcast, you’ll find the same honesty, the same stories, and the same heart behind why I do what I do.
